The bite of winter is in the air,
I can feel the wind slicing through me.
It is surprising to hear so much chirping,
For its almost winter.

A sky of infinite blue,
Is the perfect touch
When coupled with the color of the leaves,
The serenity of the fields,
And the cry of the birds.

The leaves on the ground,
Form a tattered landscape,
Rough and uneven to our eyes.

Despite its beauty,
The end is inevitable,
Winter is Coming.



The phrase "Winter is Coming" is the battlecry of the Starks of Winterfell, in George R. R. Martin's series "A Song of Ice and Fire".
