Fight practice was just what I needed. A chance not to think of the pain, the hurt, the rejection, or of Jen at all. It was a chance for me to concentrate on relaxing (for once), and keep my mind on the most natural of human instincts: survival. I focused so much that I actually did pretty well. And it was the best day of my week so far.
I did think about Jen, I'll admit that, but only when I talked to Ray, and listened to what he had to say, and especially to his advice. His advice was simple, and practical, but something I had never been calm enough to think about to date. After we got back to fighting though, Jen was completely out of my head. Hmm...staying alive...Jen...staying alive...Jen...definitely staying alive. Right now the only thing that I'm worried about with her is that I've lost her as a friend. She seems to not want to talk to me at all, really.
