Aye, today sucked. No, I was not depressed, anxious, or afflicted by my "Crisis of the Day" (damnit...did I hit middle age yet?!?). Nor did the pain from having 3 teeth out bother me, nor did the residual numbness concern me.

Ron has gone back to school. I haven't seen him in almost a year, and now he's gone off back to life's adventures again. Wish I could have hung out with him one last time, you know?

The good thing is that he made it back in one piece, instead of many little ones. I was going to return his call, but I didn't know when he'd be back and when a good time to call him would be. So he called me, from a pizzeria (mmmm...food...). Told me where he left my Red Alert II CD when he was leaving, and he said that he had wanted to hang out, one last time. But unfortunately, things didn't work out that way. So then we talked for a few minutes. And he gave me a great piece of advice...I forget the exact wording (I'm going to have to ask for it again), but the meaning was clear and true, and resonated inside me.

You'd best be back soon, Ron. And don't forget to bring the "Blaze of Glory" switch!

Today was also a blah day. It rained. I elected to use this as another recovery day. I finished Stephen E. Ambroses D-Day...

The haunting tale of Company A, 116th Infantry Regiment will always have a place in my heart. They were the first to land on Omaha Beach at H-Hour (0625 Hours, Tuesday, June 6, 1944). The Company was comprised of 200 men.

Of those 200 men, only 8 were fit for duty the next morning, and some of the 8 men still standing were wounded. That's a casualty rate of OVER 96%...

I also finished Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy for the second time, and liked it more this time around. And then I ripped into (and finished) Michael Crichton's novel: Prey. Wow...I was absolutely terrified by that book, which is the reason I stayed up until 0340 hours to finish it! It was an excellent book. I highly recommend it.

And I FINALLY got the compatibility modes right so I can play TIE Fighter on XP [only the best game...EVER!!!]. I went to look for Freespace today, but couldn't find it anywhere.

Yes, I'm a freak for space combat simulators. So sue me. I've got a brand new joystick I need to break in. I'mma fighting man. A real man! A berserker-packin' man! YOU ARE HUGE. THAT MEANS YOU HAVE HUGE GUTS! RIP AND TEAR!

I have a decision ahead of me. Should I play Ultimate Frisbee when I get back to WPI? Or should I join the martial arts club/class, and continue training in my hand to hand combat skills?

Ultimate Frisbee is AWESOME. Lots of running...LOTS of it. And its alot of fun. It will give me a good start to the spring training season. My goal? 60 miles/week by midsummer. Ultimate frisbee will help out quite a bit.

Martial Arts. It's fun, teaches a good skill, extremely good exercise...hmmm...[and another added benefit: scare Chris more!]

Hmmm, I feel drunk, yet haven't had any alcohol in a long while...ok...I'm going to stop blogging now, for my hands are quite clearly out of control, and are typing at will, without my mind taking any part...
