Yech...another dreary day here at home. Rudely awoken at 1123 hours by the phone. Looked at bed. Looked at time. Said "damn it, it's not worth it!".

Played TIE Fighter for a couple hours. Went out to get a hair cut (feels like I'm 5 tons lighter), succeeded in getting one, and not getting sliced open by the cutthroat razor blade. Had my glasses repaired (was playing a game of basketball, Nick knocked 'em off, then stepped on them as he tried to regain his balance...not a big deal). Then on the way home, saw Steve. I haven't seen him in ages...since last April or May, I think. Caught up with the goings on in the twins' lives, got a rather rowdy hello from Joanie (one of their dogs). Spent the next hour playing ping pong and darts and shooting the breeze with him. Then, on my way home, I stopped by Victor's house to see how he was doing...and he's doing alright, but he's added some padding to himself since last I saw him.

Then I came back, ate chicken divan (awesome dish!), and ate and ate and ate until there wasn't anymore left. I was thoroughly disappointed that there wasn't more for me to eat. Being the lean, mean, ravenously hungry eating machine that I was, I quickly finished off a huge bowl of ice cream. And here I sit, still hungry. I think I'll eat the monitor.

Aye, then some more TIE Fighter action. And I'm gearing up for even more...yes, I know it's bad for me, but I have nothing better to do at this time of night. I would read, but I ran out of new books I can chug through.

Eventually, I'll get to sleep, only to waken to the most annoying sound in the world: my alarm. I don't know why, I used to like it. But the more I hear it, the more I hate it.

Now, and update on Spirit. The Mars rover landed perfectly, without a hitch, and it's data transfer rate is now 12,000 bps...about the speed of the old 12 baud modems. Quite fast for the computer machinery being used, and the power alotment due to required signal strength to broadcast it. Though it'd be hilarious to use a 3.03 million mile cord to directly connect to the rover.

Argh...having the oral surgeons cut into gum and bone to rid myself of wisdom teeth is now reaching the "not so sucky, but still sucks" phase of things. Whenever I stretch my mouth a bit, I can feel the stitches bite into the surrounding gum (no pain, though)...it's a weird sensation, to say the least.

Alright, off to show the Rebels who is boss...I might update later...or I just might get bored and fall asleep...
