Today was alright, woke up a little late, but was able to make it to work at the normal time. It was wicked boring today, as all I did was check and recheck parts lists and models of parts, as well as continue making revisions to a print. New cubicle mate, too, so that brings the number of people in our cube to a total of 4. Semi-good news about work: I am now no longer responsible for one of my projects due to tight security. Good because thats one thing I don't have to worry about. Bad because it was a cool project that I would have liked to work on more. After work, went running. Kudos to Chris! Then food. Lots of it. Too much, actually, but I'm still hungry, so more food shall be devoured. Anyways, life is good. While I don't believe right now, I certainly have hope, and that is enough for me. Sox are on, I should probably finish watching the game now. Sorry that I have nothing exciting written in this one, as nothing terribly exciting happened today. Well, other than the T didn't suck. That was pretty damn amazing, let me tell you...Hopefully next time I post I'll have something interesting for you. Fare ye well. (<$BlogItemCommentCount$>) comments Saturday, July 23, 2005
Not sure what's up for the rest of today. Tomorrow is Risk. Monday, well, ... we shall see about that...wish me good luck for Monday. Now I've got to get going...take good care... (<$BlogItemCommentCount$>) comments Yes, so the expresso and coffee drink I had are just kicking in now (don't know why now and not earlier, but I'm not complaining!). So...let's see...today was an ok day. Work was the usual, though it wasn't great. It was good that I didn't catch any hell today about project results. Enough on work. Went running, but wasn't able to go as far as I wanted to because of time constraints. I'm thinking of doing 5 miles tomorrow morning, though, and that should make up for it. Chris picked me up at about 6:15 and then we made more pickups and went to go see the "Bad News Bears"--good old fashioned little league comedy. The story of personal redemption was well intertwined, if a little quick. Two and a half stars of five overall, but three of five for a comedy. Then, we went to a bookstore, where Nick and I were "ditched" briefly so that the winner of a contest could be decided (congratulations are in order for Missy). Nick then got chatted up by some old fellow, which was not cool for him, plus the guy didn't seem to be making any sense. That was pretty creepy...Once that situation was over, we browsed the shelves, and I was looking for the "Book of Stress" because it is absolutely hilarious! But it wasn't there. And I also had some form of coffee drink on top of a shot of expresso (mmm...). Off to Chris's house it was to play poker, and I didn't do so well there, but that's the luck of the draw, and fun was had, regardless. I was feeling a slightly nauseous for part of the night, and so I was aloof and a bit uptight, but thankfully that went away, and I loosened up. Unfortunately that was more towards the end of the night. I was extremely glad to be in the company of friends, regardless. In other news, ever since starting to run regularly, I've lost 10 pounds or so, and I am getting back to my normal pace (albeit slowly). I have to thank my running partner, Chris, for if I didn't have to make the commitment to go running with him every day, I'm not sure if I would run in this kind of heat. Terrible news--bombers have hit Egypt, 30 dead, 100+ wounded. This makes me sick. They deliberately go after defenseless civilians--tourists, at that! Fucking disgusting. Anyways, now I'm too tired to really continue. I understand that I probably posted alot of nonsense, so I hope you are good at decoding it. Donut: "Humph! Elbow grease! They must think I'm some kind of idiot. I'll set them straight when I tell Sarge, after I go to the store to buy that headlight fluid. Sweet! They sell tanks!" Basically, everyone was in a frenzy with getting the book, and all that was talked about was Harry Potter, and therefore I was not able to participate in the fun, and so felt rather left out. Enough bitching from me. Here's what else that's been up: working at Gillette is good. Getting some interesting projects, though not terribly work intensive (yet). I was certified today for the ASME Standard regarding geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Also, I am grateful that one of the machinists let me use his computer today and create my own program, and he taught me some of the skills I would need to be a machinist. Seeing this side of things will really help me when I begin designing parts (hopefully soon?). No paintball this weekend. My rides cancelled. Oh well, shit happens, no big deal. Heading out to celebrate Mike's 21st birthday...we're bringing him out to dim sum, which should be very good. I haven't played pool in a while...but I have been running daily, thanks to having a partner to go with. Makes the running alot easier. Let's see...what else? Not much. Looking forward to seeing Discovery launch. For those of you who keep asking, no I don't have a girlfriend. And the Red Sox are amazing. I need to watch Red vs. Blue again, from the very beginning. Tucker: "What are they doing?" Church: "*Sigh* They're talking. Just like they were five minutes ago. And when you ask me five minutes from now, my answer's going to be the same--they're STILL just standing there, and they're STILL just talking!" Tucker: ".........What are they talking about?" Church: "I fucking hate you." (<$BlogItemCommentCount$>) comments
